Webber, who had his hands and legs amputated as an infant, stopped his car and shot the front-seat passenger. He then fled the scene, leaving the victim in the vehicle. Webber asked the two passengers in the back seat to help him remove the body. The body of the victim, 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells, was later found in a backyard.
